Hi Nancy!

If you have a tea towel, I think it will work. I haven't tried it with this specific recipe, but have with others. You will want to make sure your tea towel is pulled tight under the lid so it doesn't dip down as it catches the moisture. Enjoy!

On one of your recipes a reader had suggested using a tea towel instead of paper towels to absorb any moisture. Wondered if this was a viable alternative especially in today's world where we are trying to be environmentally friendly. I understand that paper towels will decompose but just thinking that if a tea towel will also do the job, then it would be even better

Hi LA!

We won't post a recipe unless we have tested ourselves first to make sure that the recipes work, and unfortunately, we don't have enough resources to convert all of our recipes into oven or stove versions. However, you are in luck! Our friend Brandie over at The Country Cook has a similar recipe for the oven that you might like!

In reply to <a href="https://www.recipesthatcrock.com/crock-pot-cream-cheese-danish/comment-page-1/#comment-26139">Bert</a>.

Hi Bert!

If you have a 6-quart,I would recommend using it instead. I have tried this recipe in my casserole crock and have had trouble with the paper towels touching the top layer of crescent rolls. So, if you try it, you will have to make sure the paper towels are really tight and check them frequently so they don't dip down onto the crescent rolls. Enjoy!

Aunt Lou,
I’m with Penny. I’m old and poor, and to tell the truth, I don’t even own a crockpot or any of the other types of fancy cooking appliances. I too would love to have recipes for the oven, or on the cooktop.
