I wouldn’t recommend making this in a 4 quart slow cooker. It is pretty tall/thick in a 6 quart slow cooker. I’m afraid it would be to tall/thick in the center to cook all the way through before the edges burn if it were put into a 4 quart crock pot.

Yes, you can. Bake your cake per the directions on the box and then follow the rest of the directions in this post.

I haven’t made it in my casserole crock. I tend to like my 6-quart slow cookers for cakes so they have more room to rise. If you try it in your casserole crock, let me know how it goes! Enjoy!
