I haven&#039;t tried doubling it, but I think it would work in a 6 or 8 quart crock pot without using the bowl in the insert at the beginning. The cooking time should be similar to the original recipe. As always, you will want to watch it closely the first time you make it so you can know the exact timing needed for your specific unit. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!]]></description>

Chicken should be cooked to 165 degrees. Our friend Marybeth has a great post that tells you the safe cooking temperatures for different kinds of meat. (Link below) Enjoy!
