This Crock Pot Glazed Lemon Bread is perfect for breakfast, brunch or dessert! It may have a few steps to it, but it isn’t hard! And the lemon flavor is delicious!
In a medium bowl, mix together your flour, baking powder and salt and set it aside for later
In a larger bowl, use a mixer to combine your butter and 1 cup of sugar until it is blended really well
Add in one egg at a time, mixing each until they are well combined
Pour half of your flour mixture into your sugar mixture, mixing until well combined
Add in your milk and mix until well combined
Add the remaining flour mixture and mix until well combined
Sprinkle in your lemon zest (and walnuts if desired) and stir gently
Grease and flour a small bread pan that will fit into your 6-quart slow cooker (I used my Programmable Travel Crock Pot) or a 5 cup glass dish
Spoon your batter evenly into your prepared pan/dish
Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours (it is ready when it passes the toothpick test)
Remove your pan/dish from your crock pot and place it on a wire wrack to cool
Mix together your lemon juice and powdered sugar
Poke holes in the bread with a toothpick or fork
Pour your glaze over your bread, reserving any extra glaze to drizzle over individual slices
Slice, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve
Notes
If you like nuts in your bread, add in the walnuts in step 7. You can sprinkle them on top if that is more to your liking. Or you can leave them out completely. This is your yummy Crock Pot Glazed Lemon Bread, do what you want!
