Garnish: sliced green onions and 1/4 lb baconcooked until crispy and crumbled
Instructions
Pour your chicken broth and water in a large pot and bring to a boil over high heat
Add your peeled and cubed potatoes and diced onion to your boiling liquids
Boil, uncovered for 8 minutes until your potatoes are just fork tender
While your potatoes and onions are boiling, fry up your bacon
Once your potatoes are just fork tender, lower to medium heat and mix together your flour, salt, pepper and milk and pour it in with your potatoes
Stir your soup occasionally and heat for approximately 5 minutes, until it has thickened up
When the soup has thickened, add your cheese and stir together until the cheese melts
Garnish with bacon and green onions
