Put your brown sugar, butter, salt and corn syrup in a saucepan over medium high heat and boil for 5 minutes, stirring frequently
Remove from heat and stir in your baking soda until your caramel mixture has lightened in color
Put your put half of your cereals, pop corn, pecans and pretzels in a 6 quart slow cooker
Pour half of your caramel mixture on top and gently stir until the caramel is well distributed
Add your remaining dry ingredients and top with your remaining caramel mixture and stir until everything is well coated (it won't be perfect, that's okay!)
Cook uncovered for 1-2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes (it will try to stay one big hunk, gently break apart with a wooden spoon)
Spread out on wax paper for about 10 minutes or so until cooled and store in an air tight container or baggie
