In a skillet, brown your ground sausage with your onion and drain
In the large pot, mix together your al dente pasta, ground sausage, salt, garlic powder and pizza sauce
Spread this mixture in a lightly greased casserole crock pot or 6 quart crock pot
In a separate bowl, mix together your cream cheese, cottage cheese and parmesan cheese (with a mixer or by hand, either one)
Use a 1/3 cup measuring cup to place 8 dollops of your cheese mixture evenly atop your sausage and pasta mixture
Top with your mozzarella cheese
Cover and cook on high for 1.5 - 2 hours, turning your insert halfway through if your crock pot does not cook evenly
