Cut butter and cream cheese into cubes and place in sauce pan.
Add sugar, salt and pepper and stir well.
Cover and cook on medium high heat for approximately 10 minutes, stirring every couple minutes.
Once all ingredients are well combined, reduce heat to low, cover and cook for approximately 5 minutes more, stirring at least once half way through cooking time.
