Over medium heat, brown your sausage slices in a large skillet until they reach desired color.
While your sausages are browning, prepare your minute rice per the instructions on the box using broth instead of water in a large microwave safe bowl.
Add your salsa and browned sausage slices to your rice and stir until well combined.
Pour your mixture into a lightly greased 4 quart crock pot.
Top with your shredded cheddar cheese.
Cover and cook on low for 1.5-2 hours or high for 45 minutes to 1 hour, turning your insert halfway through cooking if your slow cooker does not cook evenly. It is done when your cheese is melted.
