Crock Pot Shredded Beef Sandwiches (Virginia Style)

These Crock Pot Shredded Beef Sandwiches (Virginia Style) from Gooseberry Patch's Slow Cooker to the Rescue are so good!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb beef round or shoulder roast
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 12 oz can beer or non-alcoholic beer
  • 2 oz onion soup mix (2 - 1 oz pkgs)
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • favorite bbq sauce garnish

Instructions

  • Put your roast in the bottom of your 6-quart crock pot (I used my Hamilton Beach Multi-Quart Slow Cooker)
  • Mix together your catsup, beer/non-alcoholic beer and soup mix and pour over your roast
  • Cover and cook on low for 4 - 4 1/2 hours
  • Shred your beef with two forks
  • Serve shredded beef on buns with bbq sauce, if desired
