This Crock Pot Mississippi Beef Sandwiches Recipe is our favorite way to eat the popular flavorful Mississippi Beef Roast. Our sandwich pairs the shredded beef from best roast on the site with the perfect toppings and a toasted sub roll. This sandwich is incredible.
Place butter on top and pepperoncini around the roast.
Cook on low for 8 hours or until fork tender.
Shred with forks or a stand mixer and return to crock pot.
Butter sub roll insides and toast in a med-high skillet.
Slice tomatoes and place on one side of the roll, topping with shredded beef
If desired, slice pepperoncini and place on top of the beef.
Top sandwiches with french fried onions and top sub roll. Slice sandwiches in half before serving if desired.

The beef from the roast is very juicy, so toasting the rolls help keep the bun from getting too soggy. This is however a very messy sandwich to eat (although very rewarding for the trouble!).
