Ingredients
1/4
cup
packed brown sugar
plus extra as needed
1/4

sweet paprika
1

garlic powder

Tablespoon
onion powder

ground cumin
1
teaspoon
cayenne pepper
salt and pepper

boneless pork butt roast
trimmed and quartered
1
cup
bbq sauce
plus extra for serving
Cider vinegar
Instructions
Quarter your pork butt roast into four even pieces and place in slow cooker
Mix your brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, cayenne pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of salt together in a bowl
Make small holes all over your roast pieces with a fork
Rub the seasoning mixture all over your roast quarters.
Pour your bbq sauce evenly over your roast
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 5-6 hours, until your roast is tender
Place your roast in a bowl and using two forks, shred your roast into bite-size pieces or use electric mixer to shred and cover.
Leave the liquid in your crock pot for 5 minutes
Use a big slotted spoon to remove the fat from the top
Sprinkle liquid with salt, pepper, brown sugar and cider vinegar to taste
Pour one cup of liquid over shredded pork and toss until well coated (Add more liquid if the shredded pork becomes dry)
Serve with your favorite bbq sauce
