5cupscabbagechopped (or approximately 1/2 large head)
optional garnish: 8 slices crisp bacon crumbled
Instructions
Place all ingredients except garnish in a 6 quart slow cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours, stirring halfway through.
Stir in garnish if desired and serve in bowls.
Notes
We used chicken broth, but you can use beef or vegetable broth if you'd prefer.
We used 1/2 head of a large head of cabbage. You can use a small head if that is what available. Cabbage varies in size but you are looking for around 4-6 cups chopped.
The bacon is optional... if bacon is optional for you ;).
