Salt and pepper your chicken and brown on each side in the bacon fat on the sauté feature OR if your slow cooker doesn't have a sauté feature, just brown in a skillet on the stove before transferring to your traditional 4 quart slow cooker.
In a bowl, mix together garlic, onion, sugar, vinegar and broth.
Pour mixture over your chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
Serve chicken with cooking juices.
Notes
If you have someone who isn't quite as big of a fan of balsamic vinegar, you can add a little extra sugar to their serving to sweeten things up!

As with any of our recipes, carb counts, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly. As a result, your nutritional content depends on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish. The auto-calculation is just an automated estimate and should NOT be used for specific dietary needs.
All slow cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own slow cooker and time adjusted as needed.
