This Bourbon Chicken recipe is a stove top version of our reader favorite Crock Pot Bourbon Chicken. This is just as amazing as the original!

1lbboneless skinless chicken, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2cupchicken brothor bourbon
2Tablespoondried minced onions
Place your chicken pieces in a large saucepan or medium pot.
Mix together remaining ingredients (except for cornstarch, water and rice) in a medium size bowl until well blended.
Pour over chicken.
Mix together cornstarch and water in a small bowl or coffee cup.
Pour cornstarch mixture into pot/pan and stir until well combined.
Cook uncovered on medium high heat until it comes to a boil (about 5 minutes).
Reduce heat to medium, cover and cook for additional 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and let it cool for 5 minutes to let your sauce thicken.
Serve your chicken on a bed of rice drizzled with the sauce
