Pour your cans of green beans in a large sauce pan.
Cut or tear up your uncooked bacon into pieces and put in your sauce pan.
Cut up your butter into pats and add into your sauce pan.
Add enough water to cover your beans by a half inch
Salt and pepper to taste
Stir and cook covered over medium-high heat until it comes to a boil (approximately 10 minutes).
Uncover, reduce heat and simmer for an additional 10 minutes, stirring a couple times.
