Hi Jackie-
The ranch is not a flavor that comes out in this dish. It adds a creaminess and complexity to the gravy. The dish itself has a gravy flavor. We’ve used this recipe for several years after seeing your recipe. We also add a package of frozen mixed veggies which then makes it a complete and well-rounded meal!

I sometimes like to add some pepperoncini peppers, along with some of the brine from the jar for a little kick. This is so easy and always great!

I first tried this late summer of 2020. I took my kids to stay in a cabin for a much needed change of scenery. We wanted to spend a day exploring the lake and come home to a yummy meal. But I needed it to be simple. This was PERFECT! Thankfully, the cabin had a slow cooker. Ingredients were simple; it doesn’t get easier than this. It was wonderful to come back to the cabin and smell this cooking. Since that time, I’ve made this several times for an easy Sunday dinner. The family loves it! It’s a favorite.

Hi Tina!

I haven’t tried this recipe with more chicken. There is quite a bit of sauce/gravy, but if you want to double up the amounts, go for it. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
