Mix together all of your wet ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Rinse your basmati rice and stir the rinsed rice and sausage slices in with all of your wet ingredients.
Spread your combined ingredients evenly in lightly greased 9x13 casserole dish, cover the dish with a piece of aluminum foil and bake for 60-75 minutes. Stir 30 minutes into baking time, recover with foil and continue baking for the remaining time. It is done when your rice has reached desired tenderness.
