Mix together all your ingredients, except garnish, in the large pot you cooked your spaghetti in.
Heat everything over low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently, until your cheese is completely melted, all your ingredients are heated through and your sauce is smooth.
Sprinkle with fresh grated parmesan cheese just before serving, if desired
