Instructions
Brown 1/2 lb ground beef and 1/4 cup diced onion in a skillet or micro cooker and drain.
Put browned beef mixture, 2/3 cup canned diced tomatoes with basil, oregano and garlic, 3/4 cup green and/or red bell peppers, 8 oz tomato sauce, 1 1/2 cups beef broth, 1/4 teaspoon dried basil and 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano in a 2.5 quart, 3 quart or 4 quart slow cooker and stir well.
Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or 1.5-2 hours on high, stirring halfway through the cooking time.
About 15 minutes before serving, stir in 1/3 cup white rice (cooked, the measurement is done before the rice is cooked).
