While your oven is preheating, brown and drain 1 lb lean ground beef and cook 1 cup uncooked macaroni to desired tenderness and drain.
In a large mixing bowl, put in your cooked ground beef, cooked macaroni, 15 oz can mild chili beans (undrained), 10.5 oz can diced tomatoes with green chiles (drained), 1.5 teaspoon chili powder and 1 teaspoon garlic salt and stir until well combined.
Spread the mixture out evenly in a lightly greased 2.5 quart casserole dish.
Sprinkle 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese evenly across the top.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until cheese is melted completely.
