Cook 1 lb bacon over medium heat until slightly crisp. Drain grease, reserving 1 Tablespoon and saving the rest for other recipes.
In the same skillet saute 1 large sweet onion (chopped) and 4 Cloves garlic (minced) in the 1 T of bacon grease until the onions are translucent .
Meanwhile in a separate skillet, brown 1 lb ground sausage and 1 lb ground beef together until fully cooked and drain.
Combine chopped bacon, cooked onions and garlic, cooked sausage and ground beef, 3.5 Cups Beef Broth, 43.5 oz Can Whole Tomatoes (run a wooden spoon through the whole tomatoes to break them apart a bit before cooking), 30 oz can chili beans (undrained), 15 oz Can Tomato Sauce and 3.5 Tablespoons Chili Powder in an extra large pot and stir. (Note: You may want to reserve 1/2 cup of your bacon for garnish).
Cover and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, reduce heat to low and cook for an additional 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Garnish with your favorite chili toppings.
