Notes
This recipe was adapted from Gooseberry Patch's One Pot Meals.
My version of this recipe calls for some bell peppers and garlic. I prefer to keep freeze dried versions of these soup staples (Freeze Dried Bell Peppers and Freeze Dried Garlic) in my pantry. A little water or stock and they plump right up perfect for everyday cooking. I can order them off amazon and have them to toss in soups any time.
I also use cooking sherry with my chicken broth, but if you would prefer you can just use chicken broth. Just substitute more chicken broth for the sherry. I chose sherry because I love the flavor it adds in chowders.
If you don't like using cream of potato soup or creamed corn, this probably isn't the recipe for you. You might look into our other Crock Pot Corn Chowder instead.

As with any of our recipes, carb counts, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly. As a result, your nutritional content depends on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish. The auto-calculation is just an automated estimate and should NOT be used for specific dietary needs.
All slow cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own slow cooker and time adjusted as needed.
