Combine browned and drained 1 lb ground Italian sausage and 1 1/2 cups your favorite pasta sauce in a mixing bowl until well combined.
Place half of the beef mixture in the bottom of your lightly greased 1.5-quart casserole dish.
Place half of 1 1/2 cups dry bowtie pasta (cooked al dente and drained) on top of the beef mixture.
Top with half of 1 cup ricotta cheese then half of 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese.
Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
Put about an inch of hot water in the insert and place the casserole dish in the water. (If the water comes over halfway up the side of the dish, remove some water.)
Cover and cook on low for 3.5 to 4 hours or high for 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours.

As with any of our recipes, carb counts, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly. As a result, your nutritional content depends on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish. The auto-calculation is just an automated estimate and should NOT be used for specific dietary needs.
All slow cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own slow cooker and time adjusted as needed.
