How to Make Bow Tie Lasagna in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

If you love our original version of this recipe, but you do not need eight servings, you can check out this version. In this Bow Tie Crock Pot Lasagna recipe, I did change up a couple things. I used mild Italian sausage instead of beef, and I used ricotta instead of cottage cheese. If you need fewer servings and would like to use one or both of the original ingredients, you can do that with this recipe’s methods for cooking. Another change is that I used a casserole dish and the double broiler method. It worked beautifully with this recipe. I did not have to worry about the cheese sticking to the insert or the pasta at the top, against the insert, drying out.

This recipe saves you money right off the bat by using mild Italian ground sausage. You can also cut costs on this recipe by using generic pasta, sauce, ricotta and mozzarella. When you combine all of these savings, this is a great way to enjoy a filling and delicious lasagna that costs under $3 per serving.
