How to Make All Day Pork Loin Gravy Dinner in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

Do not get me wrong. I love the original version of this recipe. I really, really do. This All Day Crock Pot Pork Loin Gravy Dinner is very similar to the original. I wanted to try it with some petite gold potatoes instead. This substitution makes it more of a dump and go recipe. The only “prep” that needs done besides dumping ingredients in is washing and quartering an onion. On top of all of that, this dinner tastes amazing!

If you are looking for ways to cut costs, you can do so with this recipe. First, buy generic where you can. If sodium intake is a concern for you, good news! I love that I have been able to start finding low sodium options of generic ingredients. Next, I always recommend watching sales. That is a great way to get the higher priced items in this recipe for less. Lastly, when you are in the store, look for the clearance stickers on meat. Yes, that means you will have to use it quickly or freeze it, but you can get amazing deals with those clearance stickers.

What You Will Need for All Day Crock Pot Pork Loin Gravy Dinner

Ingredients Needed

  • 3 1/2 lb pork loin (I have also made this with a 3 lb pork loin. You can use what you have available at your grocery store.)
  • 48 oz bag petite gold potatoes, washed, if your bag does not come pre-washed (You can use the 24 oz bag if your family does not fight over the potatoes like mine does.)
  • 16 oz bag baby carrots
  • Small yellow onion, washed, peeled and quartered
  • 21 oz canned cream of mushroom soup (2 – 10.5 oz cans)
  • 2 oz pork gravy mix (2 – 1 oz packets)
  • 1 cup water

Equipment Needed

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes or less
  • Cooking Time: 6 to 8 hours on low (I do not recommend cooking this recipe on high. Cooking on low will give you the most tender result.)
