Lightly spray a 3.5 Quart Casserole Crock Pot or 6 Quart Crock Pot with cooking spray.
Wash and cut into small cubes 4 medium Russet Potatoes and put them in the bottom of your crock pot.
Melt 1/4 cup unsalted butter and evenly pour over the top of the potatoes.
Pour 1/4 cup chicken broth evenly over everything.
Sprinkle 1 oz ranch dip mix packet and 3 oz package of real bacon bits evenly over the potatoes.
Top everything evenly with 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese.
Cover and cook 6 to 8 hours on low or 3 to 4 hours on high, rotating your insert halfway through the cooking time if your slow cooker does not cook evenly. It is done when the potatoes have reached desired tenderness. (This will make 4 large servings or 6 smaller servings.)
