This Crock Pot Garlic Butter Tilapia recipe gives you flavorful, flaky tilapia with very little effort. It cooks quickly and is perfect for an easy dinner.
Place a large piece of aluminum foil in the bottom of your casserole crock pot or 6 quart crock pot and press into the bottom of your insert so it makes the bottom of a packet.
Put your filets in bottom of your packet.
Stir together your melted butter and minced garlic and evenly pour over your filets.
Sprinkle garlic salt and pepper over everything to taste.
Close your aluminum foil packet. If your aluminum foil isn't large enough, you can use another piece of foil to make a top for your packet and crimp the edges of the bottom and top aluminum foil pieces together to form your packet.
Cover and cook on high for 1-2 hours, turning your insert halfway through cooking if your slow cooker does not cook evenly. It is done when the internal temperature of your fish is at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit and the fish is white and flaky.

All slow cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own slow cooker and time adjusted as needed.
