Brown and drain 1 lb ground Italian sausage and put in a 6 Quart Crock Pot.
Add 2 cloves garlic (minced), 1 teaspoon dried minced onions, 19 oz bag frozen cheese tortellini (kept frozen), 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes (undrained), 2 cups chicken broth and stir.
Cover and cook on low for 2-2.5 hours or high for 1 hour-1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring halfway through the cooking time. It is done when the tortellini has reached desired tenderness.
Serve with a slotted spoon and top each serving with fresh grated parmesan cheese.
