If you need a quick, easy recipe to add some flavor to your Italian night, I have the recipe for you! This Crock Pot Pull Apart Pizza Bread is awesome!
Tear your pizza dough into bite size pizza and toss them in the bowl with the oil (putting the oil in first and gently tossing the pieces as you go helps to keep them from sticking together)
Place 1/2 of your coated pizza dough in the bottom of a 6-quart crock pot (I used Sir Hamilton, my Programmable Insulated Slow Cooker), top with half of your pepperoni and half of your cheese
Sprinkle on your Italian seasoning, adding as little or much as you like depending on your personal preference
Repeat layers
Place a couple of paper towels under your lid, cover and cook on high for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, until the sides are golden and the center is done
Me and my kiddos like basic, so we went with just a pepperoni style pizza bread, but I'd bet you could make this with whatever your favorite pizza toppings happen to be!
The original recipe called for garlic butter to dip the pieces in at the end. I couldn't find any in our stores and haven't figured out a good recipe for garlic butter yet, but you can usually buy them at your local pizza places. If you have a homemade recipe, let me know in the comments below!
