Brown 1 lb ground beef with 2 cloves garlic and drain.
Put the browned ground beef mixture, 10.5 oz cheddar cheese soup, 1 oz packet taco seasoning and 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese in a 6 Quart Slow Cooker and stir until well combined, scraping the sides of the slow cooker so none of the mixture is left on the sides.
Put 4 cups frozen tater tots on top of everything in a single layer.
Evenly sprinkle the remaining 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese on top of the tater tots.
Put a tea towel or paper towels tightly under the lid of your slow cooker, cover and cook on high for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes, rotating your slow cooker halfway through the cooking time, if your slow cooker does not cook evenly (You can cook it on low for 2.5-3.5 hours, but I prefer cooking this particular recipe on high.)
If desired and using a broiler safe crock, place in broiler on high for approximately 2-4 minutes to brown cheese on top and crisp up the tater tots. (Make sure you watch it continually so that it does not burn.)

As with any of our recipes, carb counts, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly. As a result, your nutritional content depends on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish. The auto-calculation is just an automated estimate and should NOT be used for specific dietary needs.
All slow cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own slow cooker and time adjusted as needed.
