Melt 1/2 cup butterand pour in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
In a medium bowl, mix together 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup self-rising flour and 1 cup milk until well blended.
Pour the mixture into the 9x13 baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 cup sugar, 9 tablespoons self-rising flour and 15 oz canned peaches (undrained), 45 oz canned peaches (3 - 15 oz cans drained) mixing everything together until well blended.
Pour your peach mixture on top of your crust mixture, do not stir.
Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees, turning your baking dish halfway through the cooking time if your oven does not cook evenly, until the center is set.
Once your cobbler has set, place your baking dish on a heat safe surface and let it set for about 10 minutes until the edges pull slightly away from the baking dish.
