In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup melted butter and 1 oz pkg ranch dip mix until well combined.
Slowly pour butter mixture over your chips, gently stirring as you pour.
Gently stir the chips until they are all well coated.
Cook on low UNCOVERED for 1.5-2 hours, stirring every 20-30 minutes.
Spread them out on wax paper to cool and store in an air tight container.
