How to Make Zucchini in an Air Fryer
Cris here.
I love me some fried zucchini. So naturally I have been trying to find a great way to make it in my traditional air fryer and Ninja Foodi. I have tested making them all kinds of ways, but THIS way is my very favorite.
Air Fryer Zucchini Notes
- You can make this dish in a traditional air fryer OR Ninja Foodi using the air crisp feature.
- Thicker slices will create a softer zucchini, thinner slices will crisp on the edges.
- Regardless of desired thickness, make sure to cut zucchini slices all the same thickness for each batch. Uniform slices will make sure all your zucchini will cook at the same rate. Otherwise, some zucchini will burn will other slices won’t be fully cooked.
- Cooking times will vary depending on your air fryer, the thickness of your zucchini and your desired char. Second and third batches of zucchini will also likely cook faster because unit will be very hot. Bottom line: Keep a close eye on them and adjust time as you see fit.
- If you are using a traditional air fryer, use a skillet on the stove for the saute step.

- As with any of our recipes, carb counts, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly. As a result, your nutritional content depends on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish. - All air fryers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own air fryer and time adjusted as needed.

Will leftovers keep in the refrigerator or do they have to be eaten right away to be crispy?
Hi Susie!
To have the best quality (and crispiness), I would eat immediately. Enjoy!
Aunt Lou
What I do with my air fryer, is put a little water under the basket and it keeps it from smoking.
These are so easy and so good!!! Thanks!
Don’t you think you could do the same thing with squash?
Absolutely! It will taste very similar. Enjoy!
