Cris here.
My very favorite way to cook up a whole chicken is in the crock pot. I love how tender the meat turns out. It makes for a great family dinner and the leftovers make great sandwiches or even meat for casseroles. So when I saw a recipe for “Fire Bird” in my new Texas Slow Cooker Cookbook, I knew we would love it. We simplified it a bit, but we just loved the flavor!
