Mikey loves all kinds of Asian-inspired dishes so the other night I decided to surprise him with homemade lettuce wraps! He went on and on about them. I loved how they totally gave me another ways to switch up flavors using ground beef in my slow cooker!

Crock Pot Lettuce Wraps Recipe

Ingredients forย Crock Pot Lettuce Wraps

  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 Sweet Onion- Chopped
  • 3 Cloves Garlic- Minced
  • 1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper- Chopped
  • 8 oz Can Water Chestnuts– Drained and Chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Hoisin Sauce
  • Romaine Lettuce Leaves- Washed and Dried
  • Garnish: Additional Soy Sauce and Hoisin Sauce to Taste.

How to Make Lettuce Wraps in a Slow Cooker

  1. Brown ground beef with onion and garlic.
  2. Drain and place in 4 quart slow cooker. (We used our favorite 4 quart non-stick slow cooker.)
  3. Add soy sauce, bell pepper and water chestnuts and stir well.
  4. Cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 90 min- 2 hours.
  5. Stir in Hoisin Sauce and serve with a slotted spoon onto lettuce leaves.

  • We used our favorite non-stick browning 4 quart slow cooker to make this truly a one-pot meal.
