Combine well and use a spoon to ladle over your cabbage in your crock pot
-

Crock Pot Unstuffed Cabbage Soup Notes:
- This soup makes a lot, so I would recommend at least using a 5 quart slow cooker or bigger.
- This is a great way to use our Make Ahead Ground Beef and make this a dump and go recipe.
- This is a great all day recipe for those that need longer cooking times. If you are short on time pop it over to high and cook for 5 hours.
- All slow cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline and should always be tested first in your own slow cooker and time adjusted as needed.
- As with any of our recipes, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly depending on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish.

Can Unstuffed Cabbage Soup be frozen? As there is just my husband and myself and this recipe makes a large amount, freezing would be great for us. Also, a great way to have fast meals ready to go.
Hi Maureen!
We haven’t tried freezing this recipe. You can freeze it, but be aware that the cabbage will likely lose its texture and some might dissolve into the soup. If you give it a try, let us know how it goes!

Hi Cris, This Unstuffed Cabbage Soup looks delicious and can’t wait to try it. I do have a question. What can be used instead of the barley? Thanks for any help you can give me. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend. 🙂
Hi Joann-
You can just omit it entirely or stir in a cup of cooked rice at the end. Enjoy!
I’ve been enjoying the quotes & sayings, I don’t use Facebook, & can’t save them to Pinterest. I was wondering if you could creat a Pinterest Board on your site for them. That would give access
& allow us to peruse all the great sayings. We could even back search ones from prior times, that suddenly acquire special new meanings to us. With hope you can make this happen, Thank You.
Hi MaryAnn-
That is a really good idea. I will look into what we can create on the site. It may take me a bit to get around to it, but we will definitely see what we can do.
If you cut a hole in the carton of broth it comes out faster. I use my kitchen shears and just snip the bottom
Thanks so much for the tip!
