Cris here. As you know, I have been a cooking up a storm out of Gooseberry Patch’s new Christmas at Grandma’s . So when I saw a recipe for a Cinnamon Roll Cherry Cobbler, it totally inspired me to develop this Crock Pot Cinnamon Roll Cherry Cobbler. The two recipes are a bit different, but the inspiration is there all the same ;).
Ever since trying out the Crock Pot Cinnamon Roll Casserole last year and then falling head over heels for our Crock Pot Cinnamon Roll French Toast, I am always on the lookout for a ways to use cinnamon rolls in new ways.
This recipe was very well received by my family. Puddie doesn’t usually like cherry flavored dishes but even he was raving about this one. Every last piece of this cobbler was eaten right up!

A Few Notes on Crock Pot Cinnamon Roll Cherry Cobbler
- I made these in my Casserole Crock Pot, however, you could make them in a regular 6 quart slow cooker, just layer alternating layers of the cinnamon rolls and cherries until you get them all in there ;).
- I crocked these up with a paper towel under my lid to catch any liquid that collects on the lid to keep it from dripping down onto the cobbler.
- I plan to try these with other pie filling flavors– namely apple, peach and maybe even pumpkin!

If I wanted to do this in the oven instead (crockpot being used for other food items haha) how would I go about doing that? How long would it cook and at what temp? ThankS!
I bet this would be good with apple pie filling instead of cherry.
Cris, how do you go about putting the paper towel under the lid of the crockpot? Wouldn’t it just fall down on top of the food?
Hi Kim!
I just carefully place a couple across the top and secure the lid so they don’t fall in. Hope that helps!
We use orange rolls with cherry pie filling. They are incredible.
Sam, what are orange rolls???? thanks
refrigerated rolls that are flavored with orange, instead of cinnamon or maple flavors
YUM! Orange rolls are my favorite, so I am definitely trying this! Thanks for sharing!!
