We recently adapted a recipe from one of our favorite low carb cookbooks: Bacon & Butter to create this Crock Pot Sesame Chicken. We absolutely love these savory Asian-inspired flavors slow cooked to tender perfection! We enjoy this dish low carb style over fried cauliflower rice or whole green beans sauteed in butter – yum!

- We used skin-on, bone-in chicken thighs. Other cuts will work, however, cooking times will vary.
- We like to broil our chicken in the oven (or air crisp in the Foodi) at the end of this recipe to crisp up the skin. However you do not have to.

Crock Pot Sesame Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 chicken thighs bone-in, skin-on
- 1/4 cup butter melted
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar free maple syrup
- 2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 teaspoon red wine vinegar
- pinch crushed cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Pour butter into a browning slow cooker or skillet.
- Salt and pepper chicken and brown on both sides.
- In a bowl, mix remaining ingredients.
- In the slow cooker, pour the mixture over top of the chicken and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until tender.
- Broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes on each side to crisp up skin (or air fry in Foodi/Air Fryer).
