Hey y’all, GOODe Ole Boy here!

Have y’all been to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter down in Universal Studios, Florida?  If you’re sayin’ “no”, you really need to head down there sometime!  We went a couple months back and had an absolute blast!  We are normally a Disney World family and we love our pal, Mickey, but we had heard so much about the Harry Potter themed attractions at Universal Studios that we had to give’em a try.  We were NOT disappointed!

Harry Potter Hard Butterbeer

While we were there we were told by many friends that we had to try the Butterbeer which was sold at Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley.  Now, the butterbeer sold there is just a soda pop, cola, or whatever y’all call it.  It comes from the Harry Potter books and it is delicious!  It tastes like butterscotch soda with a butterscotch whipped cream on top.  After we fell in love with the butterbeer our friend Andrea messaged me and shared a warm, adult version of the drink and we just had to try it!  Now let me set things straight by saying that this is NOT a drink for the young’uns!  This recipe is a high octane alcoholic beverage that should only be consumed by responsible adults!  This should be a recipe for parties…big parties of folks.  This ain’t no single serve recipe, y’all…

Check out my video.

I love this recipe and you are both so entertaining. I especially loved the end of the vide when you got “slap happy”. LOL.

    Keep the video’s coming.

I do have.a question though. is there anything you can substitute the beer for? I am allergic to the yeast in beer.

Any chance you can do a cold version of this? What if you put the melted concoction in the freezer for a few hours?

If you did a cold version, you would want to omit the butter. Fat rises when it gets cold and I don’t reckon that would look too GOODe on top of your concoction.

I do not remember when I first started watching your videos and reading your recipes, but I just wanted to tell you how much I love what you do! I have made and saved many of the recipes and enjoyed each and every one. I especially love how y’all share alot of what you do as a “family”; vacations; recipes submitted from friends, family, and subscribers. It takes alot of work to do what you do and make it seem so effortless. Occasionally you do have trolls that try to disrupt your work, but that’s because they don’t like it when anyone is happy and they are not. So sad for them. Please try to ignore them and keep sharing your fantastic videos, recipes, and love. The rest of us love and support y’all. Sorry for this novel, just couldn’t keep it short and simple. Thanks again for everything y’all do for us followers.

This would be so cool for a Harry Potter themed Halloween party I’m having. I can’t find butterscotch syrup. I looked with the syrups and I looked with the ice cream toppings. I couldn’t find it. Is there something I could sub for this? Or maybe I’m looking in the wrong place. Thanks so much. Love your recipes.

      Hey Kris!
I can only imagine that it would be with toppings and jellies/jams. In a pinch I reckon you might try 2 tablespoons of the buttershots in the heavy whipping cream, but I’m not sure how it will set, so I’d experiment with it first.

If you’re dead set on using the butterscotch syrup, here’s a referral link to find it! http://amzn.to/2dVJE71

We love hearing from you, it totally makes our day! Please remember, our comment section is much like our dinner table... You don't have to like everything we serve up, but you do have to use your manners.
