It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, we LOVE making (and eating) Corned Beef and Cabbage. We have two different crock pot methods for making corned beef, one more traditional in flavor and the other with a wee bit of a different flavor if you are looking to switch things up! BUT today’s recipe gives you that traditional flavor in 90 minutes under pressure (vs. 8 hours in a crock pot). We pair this recipe with our Instant Pot Cabbage to complete the meal ( you could also make a our old fashioned cabbage in your slow cooker, if desired.)
How to Make Corned Beef in the Instant Pot
It is super simple to make a delicious corned beef in your electric pressure cooker. You just add your beef, seasonings, butter and water to a 6 quart Instant Pot or other Electric Pressure cooker and cook under high pressure for 90 minutes with warming feature turned off. Let it release naturally for 15 minutes and then pop over to quick release. Serve up over a bed of cooked cabbage.

Just wanted to let you know that I tried your Corned Beef Recipe in the Instant Pot and I will NEVER EVER cook it any other way. Hubby and I are huge fans of corned beef but even if I cooked it all day it was still very chewy. In this it just falls apart and you don’t need a knife to cut the meat. I can’t tell you how many times I have cooked it this way since I have found the recipe. Thank you, thank you for this. I love your recipes.
Oh I am so glad to hear you guys loved it, Shirley!! So glad you found us. Thanks so much for taking the time to let us know you enjoyed the recipe!
