How to Make Crustless Pizza in an Air Fryer
Cris here.
For a long time readers have been asking us to convert our Crock Pot Crustless Pizza into an air fryer recipe. So, after lots of testing, we finally have our go-to air fryer version and cannot wait to share it with you. Equipment You Need to Make Air Fryer Crustless Pizza
- Any kind of air fryer. We have tested this recipe in the Ninja Foodi, a traditional air fryer and using the Mealthy CrispLid you can use on an Instant Pot.
- An air fryer pizza pan or barrel pan. This accessories set has both.
- If using a Foodi or Instant Pot with Mealthy, you will also need the trivet or air crisp basket that came with your unit to set the pan on. In traditional air fryers just place your pan in the basket.
Notes on Air Fryer Crustless Pizza
- This recipe is an air fryer adaptation of our very popular Crock Pot Crustless Pizza.
- We recommend cooking this recipe for 10 minutes and then checking for desired crispness. Add additional minutes to reach preferred crispness level.
- We use Rao’s marinara to cut the carb count in this recipe. You can use any pizza or marinara sauce that fits your diet and budget.
- Use your favorite toppings to customize this recipe into your favorite pizza.
- We like to use our make ahead ground beef to make this dish super easy to throw together. Here are two ways we make it: Crock Pot Make Ahead Ground Beef or Instant Pot Make Ahead Ground Beef. You can also just brown your ground beef in a skillet (or using the Foodi saute feature) ahead of time if preferred.
- If your air fryer does not have a 360 setting, 350 will work.
- All air fryers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own unit and time adjusted as needed.

This makes me want to get an air fryer.
Could this be made directly in the Ninja Foodi ceramic inner pot vs a smaller pan and placed on a rack? Thank you
We haven’t tried this recipe with placing it directly on the inner pot. If you give it a try, let us know how it goes!
love it! easy and delicious
We agree! So glad you enjoyed this!
My family is using Keto to get our weight down and get remove joint inflammation. This recipe looked Keto friendly so I tried it. It was excellent! We had pizza without the carbs. Do we miss crust? You bet but this was great and everyone enjoyed it. Thanks Cris!
I’ve been making crustless pizza for over 20 years when I first did Atkins. Mine is easy in toaster oven baking sheet size for toaster oven pizza sauce on bottom toppings on top of sauce then cheeses on top. Bake until cheeses melted and browned slightly. Delicious!!
Looks good Cris!
