I am making these right now, I will let you know how they turn out. I did make a few changes such as, I poured sprite over to the side of the layers, just one can. I also added to the layers. I put down the cinnamon rolls, then the filling, then a layer of crumbled cinnamon Chex cereal, and repeated throughout the layers. I finished topping it with the crumble as well. When it comes out I will put the icing over it and serve it warm with ice cream. Can’t wait!
I was wondering how yours turned out? I have a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and wondered if I added a layer of it would be way to sweet or if it adds a nice crunch?
If I double this recipe would it all fit and cook the same?
I haven’t tried doubling this recipe. My concern would be that the center wouldn’t be able to cook through before the sides burned. If you need more servings, I would suggest making two batches. Hope this helps!
First time making this delicious sounding dessert, can it be baked in oven?
I think it could be made in the oven but, without trying it first, I can’t say what the temperature or cooking time would be. If you give it a try, let me know how it turns out.
Have not tried it yet but sounds so good with lots of grandchildren I wonder if it could be doubled and layered in a 6 qt crock pot as it is layered in a traditional crockpot?
I have been getting your emails and did save some of them for review when I have the time. Since Covid hit everywhere our world isn’t the same. I am a full-time caretaker for my elderly mother who lives with me. Homehealth care places are very short on workers. I am still interested in your emails and hope to review them as time permits. I did see the video for the green beans, potatoes, and sausage in a crockpot. With fall and winter not far away many people bake more during cooler weather but we are all looking for something good our families will like and time-saving in the kitchen. How about more crockpot dishes and desserts along with sheet pan ideas and casseroles?
Any ideas on the cooking time for a 6 qt oval crockpot? This looks amazing! MUST TRY!
Hi Donna!
I have not tried making this in a 6-quart crock pot yet. I believe the cooking time would be similar. Watch it closely the first time you make it (as with any new-to-you recipe) so you can adjust the recipe timing to your crock pot.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!
