- This is the slow cooker version of our very popular grill recipe: Basil Lime Chicken.
- You can marinade the recipe overnight, if needed.
- We like to use this tool to zest limes. You will be amazed how much flavor lime zest can add to your dishes AND it is way easier to do than you think.
- Another great tool to have on hand is this hand held juicer. We use it ALL the time.

- As with any of our recipes, carb counts, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly. As a result, your nutritional content depends on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish. The auto-calculation is just an automated estimate and should NOT be used for specific dietary needs.
- All slow cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own slow cooker and time adjusted as needed.

How would this freeze? I need smaller servings (2-3), which I cook in my 2.5 quart. I try and make up a full size batch, and before cooking, I divide it and freeze half for another day.
I have a friend that always tries to make 2 batches- one for the freezer, and one for that nights supper.
This gives a meal ready to go, with no additional work on my part. Just grab from freezer the night before, thaw in the refridgerator, put in slow cooker the next morning.
Hi Cris,
I don’t have any fresh basil, but I have some freeze dried Litehouse Basil I got at Costco – how much would you recommend I use when using that? Can’t wait to try!
Chelle
Hi Chelle-
I believe typically folks use 1 tsp dried to every tablespoon fresh. Hope that helps!! Enjoy!
