I substitute the chili beans with baked beans and it is amazing! I could eat it all in one day!
This is really good! I added a can of chili fixins rotel tomatoes, sprinkled some shredded cheese between the chili and cornbread and baked in oven at 375 for 25 mins. It was delicious!!
Great job making it your own! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Not quite I understand the reference to paper towels under the lid. Can you clarify how you do that and reason? Ty!
Hi Nancy!
The paper towels catch any condensation that might have drop off of the lid. You just place the paper towels on the top of your slow cooker insert, put your lid on top of the paper towels and tug at the edges of the paper towels to make sure they aren’t drooping in the center. Hope this helps!

Can this be made in my casserole crock. If not please more recipes for it. The things just sitting there pleading for a chance to do something.
Hi Brynt!
I am not sure how this one would turn out in the casserole crock, so I hate to recommend it without trying it first. However, we have a whole collection of recipes that we have tried in our casserole crock. You can find them here: https://www.recipesthatcrock.com/category/uses-casserole-crock/. Hope that helps!

I would like to double this recipe and I have a 6 qt. crock pot. Do you think it would turn out okay ? Thank you
I would also love to know the answer to this! If you have tried it doubled in 6 at slow cooker, please let me know! This is what is keeping me from trying. My husband HATES veggies and it’s so hard to find Slow cooker recipes he’ll eat!😐
Hi Sandi and Amy!
I have NOT tried doubling this recipe. If you double it, slowly add in your milk so that you can make sure the batter isn’t too thin. Watch it closely the first time you make it so you will know how to adjust the timing. Enjoy!

Could this be done in an instant pot?
Hi Coby!
I have not tried this in an instant pot yet. If you do, let me know how it turns out!
