Recipe Notes:

  • I used my Programmable Travel Crock Pot for this delicious chili. Your favorite 6-quart crock pot will work just fine.
  • This would be a great recipe to throw together in the morning before you ran out for a busy day. I can tell you that it will make your house smell divine!  And walking in the door after a long day to a delicious pot of Three Bean Pork Chili just makes the troubles of the day melt away for a bit.
  • I know that there is a great debate as to whether chili has noodles or not. If you ask my 4-year-old son, he would most emphatically tell you that chili has to have noodles. When I told him we were having chili, his first question was if there were noodles or not. I almost had a revolt on my hands when I said no. However, his tune changed once he tried it!

I haven’t tried this recipe with different kinds of meat. It will change the flavor of the recipe, but I think it could still be good. If you give it a try, let me know how it turns out!

I’ve never tried a pork chili. Would you use mild, medium or hot pork? We tend to like things a little spicy. ๐Ÿ™‚

      Hi Kim!

I actually just used straight ground pork (no seasonings), but if you try it with a pork sausage, let me know how it turns out! Enjoy!

Your son is correct. Chili should always be served over egg noodles.

      Hi William!

I’ve never tried it over egg noodles! We’ll have to give that a try sometime. We are a macaroni house (just like Momma made it!). Enjoy!

Did you drain any of the beans?

      Hi Judy!

Just pour it all in! The juices in the beans and tomatoes mix together beautifully! Enjoy!
