This Crock Pot Under the Sea Dip is a fantastic slow cooker seafood dip recipe. This is a tasty twist to traditional party dips!
Cris here. When Mikey asked me to find him a seafood recipe I knew he would love this Crock Pot Under the Sea Dip from Gooseberry Patch’s Busy Day Slow Cooker
And so, he made a video about it!.
Crock Pot Under the Sea Dip Notes:
- We used imitation crab, but feel free to use fresh or canned.
- We used tiny salad shrimp for convenience, but you can get cocktail shrimp and chop them up if you prefer.
- If you don’t like cream soups, this is not the recipe for you… Please don’t leave me nasty notes.
- We have used our mini casserole crock pot and Dot. Both are 2.5 Qt slow cookers. You will want to use a smaller slow cooker for this recipe or double it if using a large crock pot.
- We used cheddar cheese but feel free to switch out your favorite cheese.
We hope you enjoy this delicious dip as much as we did!!

What can I use instead of cream of shrimp soup? I can’t seem to find it.
We haven’t tried this with a substitute, but think cream of celery will work. If you give it a try, let us know how it goes!
This sounds delicious! I am wondering if you could use New England Clam Chowder in the can? I might try that in place of the Cream of Chicken. Just a thought.
Hi Phyllis-
We haven’t tried it, but would love to hear how it goes! Enjoy!
I can’t wait to make this for my husband and bonus son! They will devour it, I’m sure!
Enjoy!!
I have a question. I have nothing against cream soups. I use them all the time, but I can’t eat celery. I have tried and tried but I just can’t stand it. Is there another kind of soup I can use instead? I would love to try this recipe . Thank you
Hi Jo May!
You could just double up on the cream of shrimp if you would like or you could try the cream of mushroom with garlic for a little added flavor. Hope that helps!
Thank you Cris
I like cream cheese, cream of celery soup, Italian dressing dry mix, and a little cocktail sauce for warm seafood dip
This reminds me of another Crockpot favorite…brings back good memories!
Only instead of the Cream of Shrimp, it had some mayo, and also finely chopped onions.
I will have to try…..maybe add a dash of Old Bay seasoning. Cream of Celery, brilliant, I LOVE canned cream soups, they are perfect for slow cooking, I don’t care what anyone says 🙂
