My dad cooked a lot when I was going up, I’m not saying that mom couldn’t she made yummy ones too. But the dish I remember was smoked Sausage, Potatoes, Green Beans, and onion, and two of my kids make this dish too. I love all Southern Cooked dishes.

Thanksgiving dinner, before my mom past away ten years ago, she finally gave me all her recipes for it. From the homemade dressing to the Jam cake my great grandma use to make, that I always asked for on my birthday.

  7. Growing up I always loved that we went to my grandmothers house. I remember her chicken & dumplings! They were wonderful.

  8. butterbeans and cornbread

  9. I’m trying her Cajun chicken this weekend. I cook German Southern style with a little Mexican thrown in. What I like is how easy her recipes are to put in the crock pot and be ready when the family comes over. We need the easy preparation as we begin to age and still want to cook for others.
