I always remember the smell of my mom’s pot roast cooking in the kitchen. She sure had a lot of little mouths to feed, and we loved it. A glass of cold milk made the meal perfect! Now I make pot roast for my kiddos, just like my mom. Of course extras are prepared for a yummy next-day lunch. I am a crockpot fanatic. ๐
Growing up in Michigan my only contact with southern cooking was my dear Aunt Nell from Mobile, Alabama. She made a wonderful, sugary Pecan Pie every holiday. I can still remember that heavenly taste to this day. Just one of those memories that lasts a life-time.
