It all started with this fantastic Crock Pot Pork Roast and Veggies…
Then we loved this twist to our regular crock pot whole chicken.
Since then, I have been flipping through all the sections marking my MUST-TRY list.

Southern style potato salad. Mom made it all summer for every family gathering.
I just love good Beef Barley Soup, also what could be better than good sausage and gravy
Chicken and dressing, mashed potatoes, cole slaw, fresh green beans, rolls, fresh peach cobbler. That’s the meal that says home.

My grandmother’s vegetable soup made with the ingredients from her garden.
i love the beef stew receipe, it reminds me so much of the days when my mom would slave all day cooking beef stew for me and my dad
fresh green beans out of the garden and scalded lettuce yummy
meatloaf and macaroni and cheese are the two foods that remind me of home
The cornbread and the creamed corn remind me of meals as a child growing up in Mississippi. We had a lot of fresh vegetables and I remember my daddy cutting the corn off the cob to cream it. It was so good. Many of the recipes Chris has been sharing remind of those wonderful meals. Would love to have a copy of your new book!
Lasagna
Pinto beans with cornbread and mustard greens with a big slice of homegrown tomatoes and green onions oh yeah and don’t forget the fried taters.
I’ll never forget my Dad grilling chicken with his own homemade barbecue sauce! He’d add this and/or that, and it always was the best!
